We parked a few blocks from 'Blessings', my bakery, and decided we could just walk. We strolled to the door, hand in hand, and I opened it.

"Fire up the over, please," I shouted to Khol, who was already in the kitchen. He threw on his apron and I changed into my brown dress and pinafore, pinning my hair into a bun. I took out Evaline's—my bestfriend— uniform, for when she arrived, and left it on the table.I cleaned the tables again and placed the menus presentably. After the bakery was warm and all the food was heated and perfected, I switched the sign from 'Closed' to 'Open', waiting for the usual crowd to come bursting in.

And they did.

"I'll have the...uh...hmm...I'll have the..." mumbled Mr Lleroy, I held back the urge to slap him and smiled politely.

"Would you like your usual Vanilla muffins with blueberry filling?" I asked. The old man clapped and nodded excitedly. I didn't bother to write down the order and pulled out a bag. I'd planned for this.

"Here you go, Mr Lleroy, have a nice day," I beamed, opening the cash register and putting the money in. I waved him off and he joyfully walked out.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry!" squeaked Evaline as she burst in, drop dead gorgeous, and threw down her bag. I laughed and dismissed her typical late arrivals. I handed her the list of orders and she scurried off to the little dressing room, where Khol sat nibbling on some cakes.

"Khol, drop the cinnamon bun! That's Reena's order!" chided Evaline, making Khol jump and drop the bun. She kicked him out of the closet and got changed. I giggled and returned my attention to my customer.

"I'll have...you," smirked Seth. I rolled my eyes and took hold of a menu.

"We have anything from angel cakes toYōkan, take your pick," I corrected. He laughed and glanced at the card, so quickly I would've missed it if I'd blinked.

"I'll have a swiss roll, then,"

"Type of filling?" I asked, as benignantly as I could.

"Surprise me," he purred, his voice deep and smooth, making my skin tingle.

"Sit in or Take away?"

"Sit in," he grinned.Bastard.

He strode away and lowered him self onto a seat. I glared and him, and he saw me.Good.

Tsk, tsk, tsk. How rude, Skyler. That's a customer!

Oh, haha. Fucking funny.

Iris chuckled and I mentally slapped her. She just laughed harded. I stormed to the kitchen and grabbed Evaline, pulling her next to the stove.

"He's here!" I hissed. Evaline tilted her head in confusion and I sighed dramatically.

"My new neighbor, Seth, he's here!"

"Is he hot?" she giggled. I stomped my foot and dragged her out of the kitchen, secretly showing her the sexy blonde guy sitting in my bakery.

She pulled me back inside and shook me furosiously.

"Oh my god! He's fucking gorge!" she squealed. I guffawed and Khol walked over to us, his hands covering his ears.

"Could you girls be any louder?" he joked. Evaline bit her tongue, trying to contain the laughter and gossip at the same time. I rolled my eyes and divulged,

"That Seth guy is in the sit-in,"

"Well, how 'bout I go have a nice chat with him," he snarled, but not at me. I grabbed his hand to stop him but he just shook me off. Evaline and I peaked through the window and watched Khol march over to Seth.

This is gonna be good!

"Hello, there. You're that nice Seth that just moved in next to Skyler, right?" questioned Khol, not even trying to hide his sarcasm. Seth stiffled a laugh and looked up at my boyfriend.

"Yeah, I gotta say, she'sripe," he replied. Khol stiffened, and I could sense the anger in him. He was about to bury his fist in Seth's face when I dashed out and gripped his hand. Evaline positioned herself inbetween the two guys, making sure Khol kept his distance.

"You should leave," she advised to Seth and he shrugged, picking up the cinnamon roll on the counter before he left.

"See ya later, Skyler," he grinned and winked at me, making Khol clench both of his hands. I stroked his back, calming him down as my neighbor departed.

That was hot, haha!

Shut up, Iris.

"Well that was hot," whispered Evaline. I looked at her, shocked.
