CHAPTER TWO- I’M HANNA

I was up in my prepared room and honestly, I don’t want to know whatever was going through Dylan’s head or what she wasthinking when she decided to paint the room’s walls a sickly green.

Ehck.

When I sat on my bed it was so rickety, it felt like it was made of cardboard.

Its glossy orange-brown headboard got on my nerves.

The sheets were a sickly off-white color and they had yellowish brown stains on them, God, I might puke.

The floor boards were fine, but I’m pretty sure she had nothing to do with it; otherwise it would be just as horrifying as the rest of the things in this room.

The study desk she set up though, made me think she had never gone to school.

How could anyone study on this thing?

It was a silver tin desk, one you would see in jail, in a room where a police officer questioned you.

It had an old and used desktop atop it.

Hesitantly, I walked over and pulled the jack and plugs off. Carrying the computer, with all strength possible, I walked out of my room and dumped it on the ground.

I’m pretty sure I don’t need that.

It probably doesn’t even work anyway.

I went over to my suitcase and pulled out the Macbook pro my mother had gotten for me last Christmas, I would’ve been okay with a simple laptop, as long as it wasn’t as horrible as that thing I just dumped outside.

Placing it on the desk though, didn’t make things look that much better.

I groaned, I would have to check the other rooms. God knows this Hag only made my room a pigsty.

I don’t believe that all the rooms in this house could be this ugly.

“Kylie! Dinner!” My dad called. I groaned again. Great now I have to have dinner with them. This is going to be so awkward.

I rushed downstairs and into the dining room, surprised that it actually looked good.

In the middle of the room was a long wood table with orange suede chairs surrounding it. A crystal chandelier hung atop it.

The table was already set and a strawberry-blonde haired girl was sitting in the middle, also pretty.

As soon as she saw me she jumped up and hugged me. She was cheerful and optimistic. I laughed and hugged her back.

“You must be Kylie! Your father’s told us so much about you! I'm Hanna!” She offered me her hand and beamed at me; I gratefully took it and shook it.

She was nice, unlike her mother and oh-so-gorgeous brother. “It’s nice to meet you” I smiled back at her.

This time I didn’t have to lie, it really was nice to meet someone nice for a change.

Just then, Killen walked into the room and slammed his body down into one of the soft chairs, completely ignoring me and Hanna.

“Don’t mind him, he’s in a bad mood today” She furrowed her brows, “For some reason I don’t understand” She easily recovered, a big smile replacing the great frown that was on her face moments ago, “Lets sit!”

Hanna pulled me to the seat across from Killen, much to my horror, which was the right side of the head.

“Well, you’ll be sitting here, on the right side of your dad and I'll be across my mom” With that she left me staring at a sour-faced Killen.

Dinner started soon after and Killen ignored me the whole while.

Dylan made small talk with me, but I knew it was only because my Dad forced her to, she looked as strained as she spoke to me.

Almost as if she wanted to let her evilness out.

Hanna conversed with me about where I used to live and my friends from back home.

Dad spoke up every once in a while, cutting into the conversation with happy remarks, I know that he’s really happy I’m here with him.

If Dylan and Killen disappeared then this would definitely feel like a perfectly good family dinner.

Who knew that someone as gorgeous as Killen could be that mean? What was up with him anyways? Hanna said he was just in a bad mood, and maybe it’s because I have arrived.

It’s not like I was being mean to him or anything, I don’t feel like I’m annoying him in the least bit.

I definitely am not intruding in his life because as far as I know, my dad had been living here long before they came along. Long before I had even found out he had a new girlfriend.

At first, I had been hurt that he had replaced mom so easily, but then my mom explained that they have separate lives now and everyone had to move on.

Then my mom got her own boyfriend who was equally nice and caring for me.

It’s not until now that I’m once again bothered that my dad has a new girl friend, she just had to be the evil-step-mom didn’t she?

If anything, Killen was the one intruding in my life, Killen and Dylan. I could spend time with my dad without them here, but I accepted that they’ll be with him; they should accept that I'll be with my dad.

In fact that’s how it should be. They should just leave us alone so I could spend that quality time my dad was asking for.

But then Killen’s so gorgeous, why is he so gorgeous?!

If he weren’t that gorgeous, I would be begging my dad to kick him out by now. Just until I move back to Alaska, then he and Dylan could move back here and start hogging my father again.

He’s so lucky that he’s gorgeous as hell.

A/N: HELLO LOVES! =) I AM SO SORRY THAT IT’S FOCUSING SO MUCH ON HOW GORGEOUS KILLEN IS =) ANYWAYS HOPE YOU ENJOYED! =)
