It's five o'clock and I'm skyping with Lauren, I had already taken a shower and I'm in my bra and underwear set, amazing what friends can do once you have known each other so long. “I don’t know what to wear.” I said and Lauren laughed she was sitting on her bed “Your denim skirt, I packed it.” Lauren said and I looked and found it and put it on “Shirt?” I asked “You have a black tanktop, with sparkles on it.” Lauren said “I don’t own one like that.” I said “I do. I lent it to you.” Lauren said smiling at me and I pulled it on and while I talked to Lauren I applied my makeup “I have my sandals too, you’re too kind.” I said and I curled my hair and Lauren smiled at me “You look beautiful. I taught you well.” Lauren said and I smiled at her “I watched you get ready for many dates since we were 13 I know how to handle it.” I said and Lauren giggled “Yes you do, now go have fun.” Lauren said “You too!” I said and I smiled at her as we ended the call. I miss Sam more than I miss my family and I miss Lauren of course. I walk down and Grandma Mary smiled at me “You look just like your mother and I see your father in you too.” Grandma Mary said and I smiled at her, Liam was dressed all nicely “Savannah said we can walk to a nice place.” Liam said and I smiled at him.
“I need to get in the shower too!” I said Savannah was in the shower getting ready to hang out with Liam and I’m trying to get ready to hang out with Caylee. Just from the few hours I spent with her today I can’t get her out of my mind. Her beautiful smile, those killer icy blue eyes, her laugh. I know I can be myself around her already. I finally got in the shower and then put on some jeans and a baby blue polo and had on enough colonge and sat on the bed with Hoss. I found out she was a dog lover and had one of her own. I informed Zach I would be bringing Caylee with me tonight and she was off limits and he agreed. I can’t believe Caylee hasn’t dated anybody yet, she’s perfect. I went downstairs and Savannah smiled at me “She’s a lucky girl.” Savannah said and I smiled Aunt Alice smiled at me “You best be careful with Caylee. Mary told me she focuses on only dance, and dance alone.” She said “Yes ma’am. I will be.” I said and she smiled at me. I looked at my clock and saw that it was time to meet Caylee.
I walked outside as did Savannah and I smiled at Caylee, she was gorgeous today without even trying but tonight she tried and she’s beyond gorgeous, too good for me. The outfit showed off her deep tan and it did her some good. I walked up and smiled “Hello Mary” I said waving to Mary who was on the porch “You look beautiful tonight Caylee.” I said and Caylee smiled at me “Thanks, you aren’t that bad either.” Caylee said with a hint of humor in it “I will bring her back in the same condition.” I told Mary “You better. Love you Cay!” She said “Love you too!” Caylee said and then looked at me “Is it in walking distance?” Caylee asked me “It is.” I said and Caylee smiled at me.
When Ashton walked out I stared at him, he looked handsome in those jeans and polo. He walked up and smiled at me. “Hello Mary” He said waving to Grandma Mary “You look beautiful tonight Caylee.” Ashton said and I smiled at him “Thanks, you aren’t that bad either.” I said having a hint of humor in it “I will bring her back in the same condition.” Ashton told Grandma Mary “You better. Love you Cay!” Grandma Mary said “Love you too!” I said and then I looked at Ashton “Is it in walking distance?” I asked “It is.” He said and we started out of the driveway. We stayed a few feet apart, I wasn’t about to get too close to him for him to try to hold my hand or anything. “Are you nerous?” Ashton asked “Please, I don’t get nervous around people.” I said and Ashton looked at me “I don’t.” I said and Ashton smiled “I just pretend everybody is watching me dance, I’m an excellent dancer.” I said and he flashed me a smile. We walked in silent a little bit “You really do look beautiful.” Ashton said “Thanks, my friend back home threw it in my suitcase without me looking.” I said “Well it looks good on you.” Ashton said and I smiled at him.
We walked up to the beach and I actually felt myself getting nervous “You will do fine.” Ashton said taking my hand and squeezing it. It felt nice to have him holding my hand as he helped me up the dune and we saw the smoke starting to rise so I knew we were close to it. When we got close enough to it I let go of Ashton’s hand and he acted like it didn’t bother him. “Guys this is Caylee, Caylee this is the gang.” Ashton said “This is Mackenzie, Cassie, Zach, and Tyler.” Ashon said “Hi.” They said “hi.” I said “Come sit.” Machenzie said and I sat down “beer?” Cassie asked “No thank you.” I said “uh-oh we have a goody-goody here.” Zach said “She’s a dancer.” Ashton said “Uh-oh. Give us a dance!” Cassie said “Please?!” Mackenzie said “I’m not in the right clothes.” I said “Next time you are.” Cassie said “Yes.” I said and Ashton smiled at me. Cassie turned music on and people started going their own ways and I excused myself to go closer to the water. The party life isn’t my style and seeing that Ashton is into this any feelings I had for him is gone. “Caylee, you okay?” Ashton asked I didn’t hear him come up so I jumped “Yeah, I’m going to go home.” I said “Caylee.. I thought you were letting me in.” He said and I walked off.
Great I finally thought Caylee was letting me in and I realized she wasn’t at the logs anymore. I looked and saw her by the water with her back turned against us. I got up and walked to her “Caylee, you okay?” I asked slowly not wanting to upset her “Yeah, I’m going to go home.” She said after she jumped “Caylee.. I thought you were letting me in.” I said and she walked off and I stood there until I realized and jogged after her. I wasn’t going to let her off the hook so easily. Luckily for me we were walking in sand or she would be way ahead of me.
