Chapter 3

"Oh my God! Crystal please stop joking seriously!" Exclaimed Taren. "No I'm not. He asked me out for dinner and kissed my hand." "Isn't this the perfect picture? You've been keeping up with him for a long time, and I don't mean his career either." Crystal laughed. "Yeah, I know I never thought he would ever get to know me personally." " yeah and it was so natural too. Did he smell good?" Taren asked. "Yes! He smelled amazing, like spice. Anyways, I have to let you go girl I have a date!" "Okay, I'll talk to you later." Crystal hung up the phone. Wow, I'm about to go on a date with Eric Bates, huh, I can't wait! Crystal jumped into the shower and got herself ready. Crystal wore a slimming red gown with an open back, and some Louis Vuitton red bottom shoes. Just as she was going to get her purse her phone rang, it was Eric calling. "Hey, I called to make sure you didn't ditch me." Crystal chuckled. "No, I wouldn't do that Eric." Eric gave a hardy laugh. "Yeah, I called to see if you were ready to go I would love to pick you up." "Yes, I was just grabbing my purse. Are you sure you wanna take me? I can drive." Crystal asked. "Really I don't mind besides, what kind of man would I be to not take a lovely lady, like yourself, somewhere then let you drive by yourself?" Eric questioned. "Okay, you got me there. Well I'll be waiting." "I'll be there in no time, be ready." Crystal hung up the phone. In what seemed like five minutes Eric was knocking on her massive mansion door. "Wow, that was fast." Crystal exclaimed. "I told you I'd be there in no time. Can't have a beautiful lady waiting. By the way you look great." Crystal giggled. "Why thank-you, you too, I'm ready to go if you are." "Yeah lets do it." In Eric's Maserati him and Crystal made small talk. As soon as they pulled up to the fancy restaurant, the valet took the Maserati. Eric opened doors for Crystal and even pulled out her chair. "Wow, this is gorgeous! I can't believe I haven't been here before." Eric looked at her with surprise. "Really? I would've thought you been here before since it's close to your house." "Yeah, I never considered it I go to a lot of local places." Eric looked at her a little longer than normal. "I like that" Crystal looked down and blushed. "Good I'm glad you like it." Once relaxed and seated, Crystal and Eric ordered champagne and a small order of calamari. "So, what made you decide to help me out during the press conference?" Eric asked. "I had already prepared myself and my team to answer any questions you couldn't. And I kind of find you interesting." Crystal felt her face get flush. "Aw, thank-you I really appreciate that, it lets me know you did that for me." Eric said. "You're welcome." They sat and ate. All the while Crystal sized him up. Loving the way his suit fit him, how intense his eyes looked, the size and shape of his lips. She even liked the way he said her name. This man looks so good tonight, it's too good to be true. "I'm going to excuse myself to the bathroom." Said Crystal. As she walked away Eric looked at her gorgeous silhouette, the red color of her dress complemented her vanilla-creme skin, and the way her hair fell on her shoulders was absolutely beautiful. She is simply amazing! That dress is fitting everything perfectly. I don't think I've met anybody quite like her. Eric thought to himself. Crystal came back and Eric paid for the bill. On the drive home, they talked about how down to earth each other were. Eric walked Crystal to her door. He looked her deep in the eyes. "Crystal I don't think I've met anyone like you, you're intelligent, down to earth, and gorgeous." Eric lifted her chin to make her look into his eyes. Crystal definitely liked where this was going she looked into his eyes. "I can say the same for yourself, I really enjoyed my night." Just as she was going to finish her sentence, Eric gently grabbed her face and gave her a passionate kiss on the lips. All of a sudden Crystal's head seemed to be spinning out of control and the world around her was spinning with it. She surprised herself at the moan she let out when he kissed her. Eric parted their lips and saw Crystal's dazed look. "Wow, I um... This doesn't normally happen on my dates." Crystal tried to explain. "Don't worry me either, but it just felt right." Crystal felt her body get hot from head to toe. Eric definitely felt it too. "Well, I better get going it's getting late." Crystal said. "Okay, I can say I had one of the best nights in a while, thank-you." Eric said. "You're welcome I did too, good-night." "Good-night Crystal." Eric watched Crystal go into her house safely and drove off.
