A Christmas Wish

Randy found himself grinning as he drove through the Larson's ranch gates. All Randy could think about was Jennifer. As he was about to turn off his truck, Mr. Larson met up with him. "Hey Randy will you please drive into town? The feed I had ordered came in and needs to be picked up." Randy nodded and was about to shift gears when Jennifer came running up. "Randy wait up!" Jennifer's cheeks were already turning a soft shade of pink due to the cold weather. Randy couldn't help but think how pretty she looked. "What's up darlin?" Jennifer asked him for a ride into town. "I will wait for you in the truck when I get done Randy."

He motioned for her to get into the truck and assure Mr. Larson that they'll be back soon. As the couple drove out of sight, Mr. Larson smiled. "So what are you gonna be doing? Christmas shopping?" asked Randy. Randy saw the twinkle in Jennifer's eyes. "Yeah I'm doing that plus mom forgot to get the cranberry sauce. Can you imagine? She had the list and she forgot the most important ingredient to the Christmas dinner," giggled Jennifer. Chuckling to himself Randy pulled up to the feed store. "I know this is gonna sound nuts, but have you eatten breakfast yet?" When Jennifer shook her head Randy invited her to have breakfast with him after they were done with their errands. Jennifer smiled and accepted the invite.

Jennifer went down to the music store. She had called in and found out that they had received a shipment of Christmas cds. Jennifer stepped into the store and headed straight for the new releases. Sure enough she found a cd that had THE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY. After paying for the purchase she then headed for the grocery store. Jennifer was in luck and was able to buy her mother the cranberry sauce. Randy had just finished loading the back of the truck when Jennifer approached. He smiled at her," Did you finish with your shopping trip darlin?" Jennifer nodded, "Yep I hope I bought enough cranberry sauce." Jennifer loved hearing Randy's chuckle.
