Jennifer made it to JFK just before her plane took off. After checking her luggage, Jennifer found her window seat. Closing her eyes, memories of the past came to her. It all started the day of the Sadies Hawkins dance. The only guy Jennifer wanted to ask to the dance was Randy Lockland. He was the captain of the basketball team. Randy was the hottest guy in the school at least to Jennifer he was. Randy and Jennifer grew up in the same town, but ran in different crowds. Actually Jennifer was pretty much a loner. Always studying and really didn't see the point in going to parties. Randy however was in the popular group. Girls just hung on his arms while the other guys envied him.

"Hi Randy do you wanna go to the Sadies Hawkins dance with me?" asked Jennifer shyly. Randy gave her a smile, but declined the invite. "I'm sorry Jennifer but I'm already taken. We will always be friends but thats as far its gonna go. Sorry," said Randy. He walked off leaving Jennifer standing by the lockers, heart broken. After that embarrasing debut, Jennifer made it a point to excel in her classes and got out of town. As time passed, Jennifer didn't look like she did in highschool. Jennifer filled out in all the right places. In place of glasses Jennifer had lasik surgery. Strawberry blonde hair layered and cascaded over her shoulders.

Meanwhile Randy Lockland was as tense as anyone can get. He agreed to pick up Jennifer at the airport. It's been at least ten years that he's seen the young woman. The only memory he had of Jennifer was when he turned her down in highschool. The Sadies Hawkins dance that changed his world. He had gone to a party and was drinking when he came back home. His parents weren't thrilled and his father told him that if he didn't shape up he would be shipped out. Randy knew that he had hurt Jennifer and every time he tried to find her she was either avoiding him or changed routes going home. There wasn't a day that went by that he didn't see those hazel eyes of hers filled with hurt which was because of him.
