Randy was surprised that Mr. and Mrs. Larson had gifts for him. He had received a cologne package from Mrs. Larson and a brand new hunting knife from Mr. Larson. Jennifer's parents presented her with a beautiful demin jacket along with a sterling silver bracelet. "I see two more presents," said Mr. Larson. He handed the young couple their gifts. Jennifer loved the look on Randy's face when he opened his gift. "Oh darlin thank you so very much," said Randy as he kissed Jennifer. "Now open mine, I hope you like it." Jennifer unwrapped her gift and slowly opened the velvet box. She gasped when she saw the pendant. "My Christmas rose," whispered Jennifer. She blinked back tears as she held on to Randy.

The two couples went to church together. Pastor James taught about God's love. After the service Mr. and Mrs. Larson went to visit with old friends. Randy took Jennifer back home. They sat together in front of the fireplace. "This has been the best Christmas," said Jennifer snuggling up to Randy. Randy held on to her and said, "I am gonna cherish this for the rest of my life darlin." The couple sat in silence as they enjoyed the moment. "I sure am gonna miss you Jennifer," said Randy. Jennifer looked into his eyes. "I'm gonna miss you too Randy, but lets not dwell on that okay. Let's enjoy our time together okay." Randy didn't argue with that as he kissed Jennifer.

Mr. and Mrs. Larson arrived home and smiled at the young couple. "Now isn't that cozy," smiled Mr. Larson. Mrs. Larson swatted her husband and told Randy that she was gonna send leftovers for him. Randy thanked her and began putting on his jacket. "Thank you for the gifts. I really had a great time with yall," said Randy. Randy came over toward Jennifer and hugged her. "I'll call you when I get home darlin. Thank you so very much for the cd." Jennifer gently touched her necklace. "Thank you for my Christmas rose. I will forever treasure it." Randy kissed Jennifer and hugged her parents. All the way home Randy played THE LITTLE DRUMMER cd.
