He turned around and went to his truck. Well if Brenda is happy with Don then he would suck it up and be happy for her as well. Chase arrived home a little before the first of many stars appeared in the sky. Thankfully he had purchased plenty of feed for his horse. After dinner Chase decided to take an evening ride and think of a name for his horse.
“What are you gonna do about the mustang boss? You can’t be serious about riding him are ya?” asked Don. Brenda thought about what she was going to do the whole drive back home. “Don you know perfectly well that if I set the mustang free, there would be more men wanting to catch him. I am going to ride him.” Don knew not to argue with the woman and kept his comments to himself.
Brenda led the mustang to the stables where she fed him and brushed his white coat. Tomorrow I will try and ride you boy. That’s if you will let me Brenda said to the horse. She saddled up one of the other horses and went out for a ride. She headed for the look out bluff that Chase and her would always meet up at. Oh how I miss him thought Brenda.
