I watch her from the coffe shop as she runs across the street, waving at the car that let her go, pastel blue and purple hair swinging. She slows to a graceful, long-legged stride as she nears the sidewalk, and then adjusts her Aviators. She waves at an old man sitting in front of his shop with a bright smile, and then continues down the walkway. Although I can't see them, I know that her eyes, a shockingly deep sapphire blue, are beautiful as ever. Her unconcious awareness of every thing around her allows her to easily side-step a bulldog crashing into a pile of newspapers and dance out of the way of a business man on a call. She sticks out in the large crowd filled with dark suits and exspensive briefcases, but I don't care. She's the one I have always loved, and the one I always will.
