We stayed there for a bit, with him holding me and enjoying each other's company. I yawned a little and he chuckled and blushed a little.
"You tired?" He asked, stroking my hair. My eyes closed and I smiled at his gentle touch. It was definitely something I wasn't getting tired of.
"A little" I said, dreamily.
"You should be, it's ten fourty five and you've had a long day" he said.
"Or maybe you're just too comfy" I said, snuggling deeper into his chest. I could feel the laugh deep in his chest.
"Well I can honestly say, nobody's ever said that to me before" he said.
"Mmhm" I mumbled, sleepy.
"I'll take you back to your room" he said, standing up with me bridal style in his arms. "Thank you" I said, kind of out of it.
"Anytime beautiful" he replied, walking for awhile. My eyes were closed and I kept drifting in and out of conciousness until I felt myself being layed on my bed. My eyes opened to see Jordan walking over to the door.
"Wait, will you lay here with me tonight?" I pleaded. He smiled, flipping the switch so now the moon was the only thing lighting up the room.
"I wouldn't have it any other way" he said before walking back over and climbing into bed with me. I smiled, cozying up to him and lying my head on his chest. He was better than any pillow and with him stroking my hair, I was asleep in no time.
It was bright and I knew that meant sun. I could feel its heat radiating even from under my eyelids and I squirmed under my sheets. My eyes shot open. I was back in my bedroom and Jordan was gone. It made me wonder if that wonderful day had all been a dream. If it had been, it would have been a nightmare for being so cruely real. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair, my eyes wondering wearily. Then they spotted something unusual. There was a single violet rose standing delicately in a crystal vase on the dresser next to my bed. That was strange. True, Elleanora had a tendancy to leave flowers on my dresser but they were never roses and there was always more than one. I saw a small piece of paper attached to it that I swiftly snatched, being careful not to cause any damage. It was folded in half with my name written in neat cursive.
Fear not love, it was real.
I smiled, smelling the rose, letting it's fumes take over my mind. Giggling, I got out of bed and glided over to my closet, humming in bliss. Skipping into the large darkened room, I flew through everything, picking out something a little more out there to wear. Finally I decided on a bright red orange summer dress and a light brown robe with dark brown knee high combat boots. I still had to love those combat boots. It was a color combination to match the fall. Then again, as far as I knew, it was always like a warm fall here. Not that I minded. Fall was my favorite season with spring closing in on a close second. I went over to the mirror and noticed my face looked as pale as ever, with my white toothed smile making it look extra white. I didn't mind though. Decking my eyes with black eyeliner, thick as always, I was in the best mood I had been in since....ever. My hair had been easier to manage since the night of the dance, so brushing wasn't such a bother any more. A shower wasn't necisary because I had taken one only the day before in a lake right out side the palace and I hadn't spotted a bit of dirt or odor of any kind since. Which was awesome. I wonder how long I've been sleeping. There was a problem with figuring out the time in this realm. There were only a couple clocks in the entire realm. And we only had one of them. They were apparently rare and valuable here because most of the people who live here, didn't have them in their time. Pretty much everybody just classified different times into three groups. Morning, noon, and night. That's it. That's a bad system in my opinion but I can deal with it. I was brushing my hair still when I heard the door open. My eyes snapped to the door to see Lily standing there with a smile spread so far across her face, I think the corners of her mouth reached all the way to both ears. I grinned at her, giving a small wave but was caught off guard when I was knocked down with death defying force. She was laying on my crushed form that now was being molded into the floor.
"Ow!" I exclaimed.
"Lily, what are you doing?!" I exclaimed, coughing violently, trying to get some more air into my lungs. Her eyes went wide and she sprung off me in a second. She grabbed my arm, pulling me up with ease.
"Oh my God! Vy, I'm so sorry! I just assumed that-Jordan, he said you told him-and I thought. Oh my God, I'm so sorry" She said, hugging me. I patted her on the back reasuringly. "I'm ok." I said. My back was really bruised but I was ok.
"It's just that Jordan told me that you had told him and everything when I saw him last and I guess I just thought that he had turned you" Lily said anxiously. I raised my eyebrow, shaking my head.
"I only just told him last night and I haven't seen him at all yet this morning" I said incredulously at her thoughts.
"Oh yes of course, Jordan's such a gentleman. He would want to ask our parents approval before he did anything. That's probably why you haven't seen him. Mom and Dad just got back last night" Lily said, shaking her head as if she didn't know what she was thinking herself. My eyes widened.
"He's gone to tell them?" I asked nervously.
"Well I assume so, but that's a good thing, Now you don't have to tell them. It was really awkward when I told them, but then again, Renold had already turned me. Jordan's a older more gentle soul. He was one of the very first orignals born in the hundreds. Renold's more 1630s himself. It was all about passion and risk in his time" Lily said, staring off into space with a smile on her face. My jaw dropped. And I thought Aunt Erin was old!
"Our dad was one of the first as well. I guess the oldie lover gene had to pass from our mother to someone. Looks like it was you!" She said laughing. I was still in slight shock. It was a lot of information to cram into my tiny human brain. I was smart, don't get me wrong, but I don't think any brain was meant to hold this much information at once.
"Well, come on to my room so we can talk about it. I've been a bit busy, you know so I haven't had time to show it to you. Come on!" She said, grabbing my arm and dragging me out of my room. I was used to the dragging by now but my arm was really starting to get sore at the hinges when at time she wasn't holding back her strength carefully enough. It took awhile to get to her room because it was on the second floor and so suprisingly far from my own.
"The second floor contains the three biggest bedrooms. Mom and Dad have one. Renold and myself have another and soon one will belong to you and Jordan. They're meant for the soul mated royal couples, you know. They need more room" she said, taking out a gold key and placing it into the knob. It was hard for me to believe that anybody really needed anymore space, or that there were any bedrooms bigger than mine. Also, I thought it was weird that she needed a key for the room. I was proven wrong as soon as the door swung open and my question was answered. My jaw dropped. Everything looked to be made of pure gold except for the bed coverings which were only the color of. The bed was so much bigger than mine, which was suprising and it didn't even cover and eighth of the room. There wasn't much in the room but I learned earlier that no bedroom needed much more than a closet and bed because there was so much stuff to do in all the other rooms in the castle. Gold was probably valuable in any realm. No wonder, she had a key. Who would choose to have a room pretty much made of gold.
"It's a beauty, isn't it? Gold like the sun and so spacious. I'm so glad we don't burn in the sun as we thought because if I had to live without a reflection and without the warm sun, I'd probably chop my own head off. Ok, not really, but you get the picture. Oh isn't the gold lovely?" She asked, dreamily, laughing. Of course, Lily would. She always did love the sun, and had very expensive taste. Gold was definitely something she was fond of. She shook me of my trance and brought me over to sit down in front of her on the giant bed. The bed was suprisingly soft like a rabbit's fur.
"So tell me what happened already! Spill, I want to hear everything!" She exclaimed staring at me with blindingly curious eyes. I blushed.
"He trapped me you know, I wasn't even going to tell him! But that wasn't an option thanks to the big mouth who could never keep her mouth shut to save her life" I snapped, but I couldn't bring myself to put any kind of force to back it up and I was still smiling. She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah, whatever. So, what happened?" She asked. I ran a hand through my hair. "Well, he finally caught me and after a bit he forced me to spill. So I told him I loved him and then was suprised that I didn't know he loved me too and I didn't believe him at first but in the end he kissed me and we watched a movie and he kissed me again. Then he brought me to my room and we fell asleep" I said, shortening it a bit so I wouldn't take all day.
"Wow, that's sweet....but seriously, that's it?" She asked disbelieving. I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Uh, yeah?" I said unsure of what she meant.
"You just kissed, really?" She asked. I blushed, feeling kind of embarressed.
"Well, yeah" I said kind of quiet.
"Man, I admire you. I wish I had had that much self control" She said laughing. I blushed redder.
"Well I've been meaning to ask you something by the way, since you obviously know way more about this stuff than me. Why is it that after he kissed me....I kind of had a hard time....controlling myself?" I asked, feeling kind of embarressed at the question. She stared at me for a bit, biting her lip and her eyes were lit. Finally she burst out laughing, doubling over on the bed. Good thing it was so large because she was rolling around like crazy. I blushed cherry red once again feeling humiliated. I waited until she stopped and glared at her. She wiped her eyes. "Oh God, I'm sorry Vy, it's just that I remember asking Aunt Erin that exact question a couple years ago. It was kind of in a different way though" she said, laughing a little more. I rolled my eyes, getting irritated.
"Ok, I get it, it's funny. Now can you tell me?" I asked impatiently. She grinned.
"This is kind of hard to explain so I'll just tell you what Aunt Erin told me but in shorter words. After you have your first kiss with your soul mate, you imediately have a thirst for more and it doesn't go away until you finally, you know. Vampires though, can't help but turn you while doing it so, you have to be ready to be turned. That's the big thing. You have to wait, until you're ready not only for that but to be turned. Then again, you always feel ready around your soul mate. Like I said, I didn't have as much control as you so I don't know what it's like to wait until you're ready. It's always your decision when's the time. The vampire is ready at any time if you sway them. I just happened to be unable to stop swaying to moment he started kissing me" she said, with a smirk on. I blushed like crazy and my eyes widened.
"You're not kidding are you?" I asked, my heart beating fast. She laughed.
"Fraid not sweety. Don't worry though. You want it and you know it. Vampires have that thing where while you're human, you always want them, and it doesn't go away until they turn you which will be the first time you decide your ready. Which you already are" She said, repeating herself in shorter words. I felt like I was going to faint. She doubled over laughing again.
"You should see your face. You look like your skin's been dyed with red food coloring" she said, laughing. I blushed some more. I can't believe this! From now on, I'd have this unbelievable lust for Jordan every time I was around him until I finally decided to give in and then be turned. This is crazy, but I was suprisingly ok with it. Actually kind of exhilirated if that made any sense. I wonder if that made me psyco.
"My little sissy's growing up" Lily said, throwing her arm around me.
"By three minutes!" I exclaimed.
"Right, right. You'll have to tell me what he's like. Every vampire guy's hot, don't get me wrong. But Jordan looks like a God. I bet he's awesome. We can share stories afterwards" she said winking. I gasped, standing up quickly.
"Lily, you're mind is so tainted it's not even funny!" I said thought there was a hint of a grin on my lips. She wiggled her eyebrows suggestively.
"Seriously Lils, it's going to be special, I know it. It's going to be really sweet and careful. My first time. Not literally but my first time with someone I love you know? The time I had always dreamed of. I'm sure of it. Unlike you with your filthy mind" I said, smirking. She shrugged.
"Hey, we've always been more of ying and yang twins you know. This is just the many one of the opposite things. I'm sure you want it all sweet and gentle like while I like it rough and hot! Mmm, yummy!" She exclaimed, licking her lips. I cringed.
"You perve!" I said shaking my head while grinning.
"Calm down, chicky babe. Jordan's probably back in your room looking for you by now. Why don't you go and check it out? I'm meeting Renold for lunch in an hour so I have to start getting ready anyway" she said.
"Ok yeah, sure" I said, blushing a little at the conversation earlier. She smirked.
"Now go on, I'm sure he won't bite until you let him" she said, guiding me swiftly but gently out of her room. It took me awhile to get back to my room because I got lost for awhile but that was ok because I needed time to think anyway. I couldn't believe all this had happened in two weeks. I had been taken away from earth. Met a whole bunch of vampires and a demon. Saved and befriended a ghost. Been to a cinderella like ball. Fallen in love, and now I don't know what was going to happen next. But the way things were going, it was bound to be good. I can't believe that this was all happening, to me. It was phenomenal. And now, I was excited to see my love again. I missed him already and couldn't wait to see him. When I got into the room, I saw another rose there, but it was different. Blood red instead of violet. There was another note attached. I smiled running over, my heart beating at the thought of him writing another note. Opening the note, my eyes sped across the lines.
Dear Violet,
I am sorry, I have to leave you. Your parents have given me a task to prove my worth for you and I was willing to do anything but when I found out that it would require leaving you, it was the hardest thing to not refuse. I can't take you with me and I couldn't say good bye to your face because if I had tried, I wouldn't be able to bring myself to leave you. I can't risk losing you on this dangerous mission. I will be back as soon as I possibly can because every day without you near is a day where the hole that you fill in my soul, quickly empties. I hope that you won't miss me. The last thing I want to do is cause you any pain and fret not for I will not stop until I complete my mission and return to you my love. You're like the rasperries growing from the gardens of Agele. Sweet, strong, and loved by many. Including me, I can't stay away.
Forever,
Jordan
Tears were streaming down my face and I was now on my knees. My heart was broken in so many pieces, they were causing sheer pain all over my body. Another one I loved, had left me. Sitting there on the floor, I hugged my knees to my chest and burried my face, letter still in hand.
The End
Or is it.........?
It's up to you.
You want a sequal to find out what happens?
Yay, or Nay?
