When the door shut on Lily's shadow, everything finally hit me at full force. This was my real home. I would never have to return to that hell hole again. Now I could stay here forever with Lily and my real family. Being around people like me. I had always felt out of place. Hopefully I won't have to feel like that anymore. I was more at peace than I had ever been. Though I definitely still had scars from living the way I did for so long. Slowly, I glided over to where the wardrobe stood. I didn't quite know what to expect. Carefully, I opened both doors to find something more magnificent than I could ever imagine. It was like a room filled with dim violet neon lights on tables next to several bean bags. All around there were different sections with shirts, dresses, pants, shoes, you name it. It was like my very own bachelorette pad inside my closet! I stepped in, my eyes wide in amazement. It was wondeful. I would probably spend most of the time I was in my room, in here. I ran over to the shoe section to see all kinds of converse and boots. The works. I loved shoes. I just could never have so many. It was all stuff that I liked. I figured Lily must have something to do with this. I grabbed a pair of black knee high boots. On another rack, I was met with robes like the one Lily was wearing. There was a note on top that I snatched, oppening it quickly.

You wear these and you're known as royalty. So make sure you always do.

-Lily

I grinned, running my hand along their smooth, shimmering fabric. There were ones of all colors. There was one that caught my eye. It was midnight blue and perfect for today. I grabbed it off the hanger and marbled how it shimmered against the neon lights. I walked over to where the dresses were. There were so many and all so bedazzling. It was hard to choose one. Then I found the perfect one. It was shimmering gold and flowed at mid shin. The top was in halter form. I grabbed a black lace bra and some underwear and changed right there. I anxiously went out to the vanity mirror to see how it looked on me. My jaw dropped. It looked so pretty and it hugged all the right curves in all the right places. The dress shimmered like real gold and went perfectly with the robe and the boots made my legs look longer. It had a giant hood too which I loved. Hoods that didn't trap my head when I put them on were brilliant. I grinned at my reflection. My make up still looked pretty good suprisingly, so I decided to leave it. I picked up a brush that was on the dresser next to my bed and brushed my hair so it looked decent before I opened the door to the outside world of which was total new.

The site that my eyes met with sent me into a daze. It was amazing. It was so....big! Everything looked as if it was painted with melted gold. There were four levels circling a big space with a maroon metal bar with glass underneath. It reminded me of an exotic Mall of America minus the stores, plus the doors and a giant diamand chandelere at the very top. I went up and leaned against the bar, looking down. At the very bottom, there was what looked like a ball room with four other doors leading to different parts probably. It was so much to take in. So much to think about, so much to explore. I didn't know where to start. I kept on looking around, letting my mind wander at the possibilities. Deciding to go see where some of the doors led to, I went to the one three doors down from my room. It was grey with a red glass doorknob. Fancy stuff. I turned the knob, excited to see what was on the other side. I was suprised and completely stoked to find that it was a room that was large and appeared to resemble a night club. The walls were painted black and there wer violet and rose colored flowers on the walls. There were flashing lights that traveled around like an invisible disco. Couches and bean bag chairs lined the walls and there was a large bar to the side. I walked in some more, my eyes memorizing every detail. I wanted to remember everything. I felt something bump into me, making me stumble. I blinked twice in suprise. I looked to see that it wasn't something that I had bumped into. It was someone. It was a guy. My eyes were about to pop out of my socket. He was staring at me with startling green eyes as deep as the sea, peering into me. My heart stopped. Messed white blonde hair whisked playfully over his eyes, pecking his neck. In short words, he was gorgeous.

"My princess, I'm sorry!" He said, falling to his knees and taking my hand in his, kissing it swiftly and looking back up at me. My head felt dizzy and I had a hard time catching my breath. The skin where his lips had touched tingled in delight. I shook my head, trying to clear it.

"No, please, I'm sorry" I said as he stood back up. He was right in front of me now. I noticed I had to look up now to see those eyes again. He was a good foot and a half taller than me. "It was my fault entirely my princess" he said, his voice smooth and mesmorizing. "Umm..." I couldn't think straight. I must have sounded like an idiot. All I could think was try and say something educated. "No, it's fine. Please call me Violet" I finally managed to say. His eyes glossed over in confusion. "That's my name" I explained.

"Oh I know princess. It's just that, I am not your equal. You are of the highest royalty and I am but a protector. A servant to the royal house" he said. I raised an eyebrow at this.

"Well I'm a human and you're obviously a vampire so I think it evens out. I'm royalty. Your a protector. I'm a human and your a vampire. See the balance?" I asked, smiling reasuringly. A lop sided grin appeared on his face.

"Ok...Violet" he said, my name sounding like the most beautiful thing in the world in his voice. I smiled, my heart glowing through my eyes.

"Now see. That wasn't so hard. Now what is your name?" I asked. He grinned, flashing his fangs.

"Jordan."
