The Writer and His Love

Poetry By: Adam Williamson

I was playing Alan Wake and loved the song the Poet and his muse and while I was doing coursework I scribbled this down, it's INCREDIBLY similar but I love Alan Wake so much. Also this focuses more on the story without supernatural causes

There's an old tale told

Of a mystery told

Of a Writer and his Love

They both supposidly vanished

A trace never found

The Writer was a young man

With Intelligence

And Wisdom

Who wrote stories of Love

Inspired by his own

Now his Love

She was his happiness

And he wrote about her smile

Until the darkness of one night

When his Lover tragically drown

The Writer went down to the Lake

To try and find his dear

When there was no answer he was overcome with fear

He searched the lake for his love

But soon the night did fall

And the Search had been in vain

As he swore that he'd bring back his love

In the stories he'd create

Nightmares formed Endlessly

In the darkness in his mind

As time went on the writer learned

His Love was truely gone

Nightmares came and haunted him

Each and Every Night

Until One Night it was just too much

He had to make it end

He ventured to the Lake

And took one final breath

If it's real or just a dream

That Mystery remains

They say that on a full moon night

They may still haunt this place
