With a smile you once told me, there was naught you could do
You pulled me into your arms, and whispered “I love you”
Ooooo oooooh ooooh you’ve got me on fire
Ooooo ooooh ooooooh ooooh you’ve got me on fire, remember when
That night by the river, you looked into my soul
I melted beneath your touch, lost all self control
Ooooh ooooh oooooh, you’ve got me on fire,
Ooooh oooooh ooooh oooh you’ve got me on fire, once again
Before this we were strangers, though I think we both knew
How our hearts and souls blurred into one, I cannot deny the truth
Now our lives are cast adrift, as I walk this lonely road
The depth I felt is never lost, I just wander here on my own
All these years I ached to know, to learn of what I’d lost
Now I see you in a window, gasp, my breath is caught
Years gone by without a word, though I hoped and I prayed
Looking back, I think you know, there was no other way
Ooooh oooh ooooh oooh, you’ve got me on fire,
Ooooh ooooh oooh ooooooh, I burn with desire, just like then
Ooooh oooh oooh oooh, you’ve got me on fire,
Oooh oooh oooh oooh, don’t let me go, at the end
