A tragic story of a woman waiting....

She stares out longingly at the ocean in th rain.

The gray waves that rise and crash beneath her feet.

She remembers his smile the way he held her in his arms.

As a parting gift he gave a necklace with a locket. Inside the locket was a blue Saphire....her birthstone.

The rain fell harder as if telling her to leave....she did not listen.

The rain fell softly. As if acknowledging the fact that she would not leave.

She waited for a lifetime. The same beach the same sea.....the same woman....a differant time.

Her hair grayed now, her love for the man has stronger than ever. All the years she has wasted.

She clutches the blue locket in her hand tears streaming down her face and waits......waits for her love that will never return.

It was better to be loved than to never love at all. She thought.

Her eyes closed.....she slowly began going into the sea.

The water rushed up her legs.....like her lover. His soft firm hands reach her face.

The water closing around her like a mother holding her child as she went deeper and deeper. She could no longer hold her breath.

She inhaled.....she smelled him. The auroma so strong that she opened her eyes one more time...

She saw him....His brown messy hair

His brown clear eyes

She felt tears welling up........She closed her eyes again

Then water entered her lungs filling her up.

She was not afraid she wanted it to happen she could no longer live on knowing that he would never return.

The water embraced her keeping her forever in its cold encased shadows where she still waits for her love.
