Life's Asunder

My Love for you

makes me long for death

Our souls at last

sealed as one

Never close enough

we can get

Till we have released

these souls ---

from our encumberrent bodies

Together as one in life

we but only glimpse

what death has to offer

As we are dragged

through the natural progression

of this hell which is life

May we be blessed as to

die together and never

leave the other here alone

I lie naked next to you

I feel your soul reach to me

Our skin and blood

prevent the breach

but not in our own eternity

Oh, how I long for death

and you forever at my side

This sweet pain of incompletion

driving us both mad

I feel my soul, inside clawing

trying to break free

I need to be beside you

yet its never close enough

I hold your hand

I feel it tingling

Our desperate souls

barely clinging

Longing for an end

to this abhorrent life

I love you more than anything

I love you more than life.
