No More Walks in the Woods

Poetry By: AlexFreeman

A true passionate longing for a girl's love he once held dear, that eventually faded in the clutches of time. He still remembers, and wishes she did too...

Taking it slow, it isn't as easy as I'd thought I can hardly breathe Looking at the path we'd made Where trunks of fallen trees now lay Thinking of your laughter stings my soul Where you made your mark So long ago Seems like yesterday I held you in my arms, Laid you down, pointed out stars In the clean, cool fields of clover Now you pass me on the street I'm like a shadow, never seen It's almost like you never knew me But I remember The walks in the woods, Wandering alone among the trees Together Exploring the terrain Exploring each other Never expecting There was an end to forever.
