A POCKET FULL OF ROSES
He stood behind a weeping willow,
watching, as his heart breaks in two.
He gave her his love completely,
now shes found somebody new.
*
A pocket full of roses,
that meant so much to him.
Its pedals bowed in sorrow,
hanging from their withered stem.
*
The pedals fall one by one,
like the tears fall from his eyes.
to the ground he joins them,
as he breaks down and cries.
*
Why could my lips not tell her,
as he watched them drive away.
A pocket full of roses,
another love has gone astray.
