The One Left Behind...

I know you will leave but I cannot bear, the thought of you not being there.

My heart has been dragged through hell and back, but you picked up all the pieces and fixed all the cracks.

I know when you leave I will discover, the true love that we hold for each other.

I cried myself to sleep every night, but you helped me even though I did fight.

I know how you plan to let me go, but I will not allow you as I love you so.

I've loved and lost before and cannot do it again, you are driving me around the bend.

I know why you cannot bring yourself to stay with me, even for all the worlds wealth.

I could not let go, I held on to much. You always had to use the softest touch.

I know what you plan to say to me, but just you wait and you will see.

Your words of apology are hit and miss, even when flowing from your soft lips.

Stay with me and you will be shown, just how far my love for you goes.

I was once lost but you made me see, that it was not only me.

Go on walk out that door but I swear, my love for you will never wear.

Your love of the sweetest kind is still engraved on my heart, but you have played your game so smart.

You give me a tender kiss goodbye, I wonder if all I knew of you was the lies.

Now here I lie on the floor, furious with you but still waiting by the door....
