Scarlet Lover

Can I tell you what I feel?

I'm not sure.

Will my feeling's weigh you down?

these overwhelming emotions

Will they break you?

Will your sweet, fragile form shatter?

I push even harder

Watching and waiting

When you are near

Do you see?

The world spins so fast

I can't breathe

Still, even if I am suffocated

I cannot turn away

I wonder how long I will last

As this love claws away at my heart

I hold it tighter

Clutching this pain

Because as long as it's you

I don't care how scarlet this monochrome world becomes

I'll paint everything in your red

I'll dye my soul

In you

I am breathless

And your smile, I will steal it away

Your look

Your burning eyes

I'll set everything on fire

I'll watch you burn in these black flames of mine

and rip it all apart until I find you

Just a little longer

Moment to moment

I'll wait

Until all you are is crushed beneath this love of mine
