Fake Silver

My heart is rusty like the hinges of an old door that never stops squeaking
No matter how much oil you put my heart never starts working
Pumping and pumping day after day screeching to the heavens
My heart lives in dismay with endlessly intertwined miry days
How long has it been since my heart loved
Way past this millennia my heart has longed
How long has it been since my heart smiled and meant it
Far far to long that I almost can’t remember if my teeth are straight
How long has it been since happiness grazed this place.
This was lost when I wasn’t found by anyone true enough to fill a space
What will make this rusty heart of mine shine like new
Maybe the love that smoothes my cracks and fills my holes
Maybe someone to ship me into shape for a reason other then myself
This heart still pumps faking smiles pretending to be real
What does your heart feel.
