As he held her in his strong embrace
They were, perfect together
He knew it when she stared in his face

Their hearts were intertwined like intricate lace
It seemed that they lived in a dream
As they moved along at their own pace
Maybe it was odd how distant they were,
In the face of the public eye,
Why? Maybe fear of being misunderstood,
The fear of being criticized,
