One night we climbed through trees, to watch a beautiful scene
The Sun greeting the day, knowing all would be okay
Though hand in hand were we, with the occasional kiss
I knew once i'd left, i'd be torn from this bliss.
Though now i'll just it take in, this moment of ecstasy
For one perfect night, is enough to suffice
But his stare upon me, pierces right through my soul
I never believed anyone, could ever fill that hole.
The trees perched and whispered, of our night time encounter
And the Sun sat content, hinting our time would soon end
A lifetime wish, to meet someone like this
Who knew that I'd now have something to miss.
On a bench i now sit, alone in the dark
Reminiscing of one night, that inspired and urged me to write
This poem to say, what a wonderful thing
Your words, your wisdom, your passion could bring.
