Pitter Patter

Rain gently caresses the windows

as stars, illuminating the night sky, peek through them

I’m sharing it with the one person I want to-

you.

Your hair, so soft, smooth as velvet

your body warm and tender,

warming up the cocoon that is you and I,

safe from the elements outside.

Alone in the dark, heightening the sense of touch

our bond grows stronger, we come closer together

this is a moment I will hold onto forever

I want to fall asleep with you, to the pitter patter of raindrops.
