Why is love such sweet sorrow?

Poetry By: Blue Wolfstein

This is a poem I wrote to an ex who stayed as my friend after the breakup and asked for a poem...

If there were word to describe you,

I'd tell you them all,

and you'd fall right into,

my embrace so warm.

The love that I feel,

for you my sweet,

my brain congeals,

your laugh, your touch, your cheek.

The way you talk, walk, smile,

it makes my heart do flips,

you make my brain fuzz for a while,

it's really a very good trick.

The love I feel,

it isn't true,

it's a hoax, a fake, a lie,

I think it's time for you and I to say our last goodbye.
