Hearts Beating

Poetry By: bobthebuilder

Ah, the flame of youth. Passion burns brightly, hot. But as we age, we bank the fires, warmth against the night. But when flames erupt, a fire is still a fire...

Hearts Beating

Hearts beating,
slow, familiar,
keeping time.

Then, a touch, a breath,
hearts quicken,
still as one.

Passions flare,
not hurried,
soft and slow,

Limbs and flesh
seeking, finding,

Hearts beating,
rapid, strong,
as one.

Hot breath,
deep embrace,
sweet release.

The years increase,
but the bodies still recall,
and respond,
to each other.

No words,
only hearts,
