Why Do I Love You??

Poetry By: bobthebuilder

For my wife, my love and inspiration. This barely begins to explain what you mean to me.

Why Do I Love You?

Why do I love you the way that I do?
There are so many reasons, here are a few.

Of all the eyes I've ever seen,
I look into yours the deepest.
Of all the times I've ever felt,
with you I feel the closest.
Of all the miles I've ever traveled,
with you I've gone the farthest.
And though my heart beats every second,
for you it beats the strongest.

Life can be hard, but with you by my side,
we'll make it though the bumpiest ride.

You give me love, and peace, and fun,
and my most cherished gift, our wonderful son.

When I bury my face into your sweet neck,
the whole world disappears.
I'll never feel as much a man,
as when I hold you near.

Why do I love you the way that I do?
Mostly, love, because you're you.
