I write with such care
Each word penned
Wishing you where here
A sigh escapes me
As I ponder where you are
When should you return,
From the shores of afar
Longing for your love
I ache for your touch
You’ve been gone so long
I miss you so much
Come home soon
My darling, my dear
Come home soon
I need you here
I sign this letter
With love and a prayer
Hoping you are safe
Wishing you were near
