If I Told You I Loved You

Poetry By: Christopher M Brown
Romance

Love, Love, Love. Is what we ever feel really love or just a delusion of the mind of what we want to be love? Either way, it's still nice to have.

If I told you that I loved you
Would you believe that I spoke the truth
Would you say it back, with all of your heart
Or would you tear me down and leave me in the dark

They say that love is blind, but I follow it
Eyes wide shut, but I cry for it
I jumped from the plane, but forgot the parachute
My arms reaching out to fly with you
Bungee-jumping from the 18th story
Of this building that I built for you
You're my line, the reason I'm blind
And the only thing keeping me from my doom

Would you die for me?
I would die for you
Would you cry for me?
If I left this world to you
And if I gave you my heart
Would you keep it safe or break it
I would never break yours

I've been going in circles, driving myself insane
You're all that I've been thinking about, all that's on my brain
The only one thats worthy of having my entire being
My heart, my soul, is yours for the taking

If I told you that I loved you
Would you believe I spoke the truth
Would you say it back, with all of your heart
Or would you tear me down and leave me in the dark
