Serenades And Silhouettes

Poetry By: Dmonik

Isn't it strange how some of the darkest things in life, can be some of the most beautiful? Think of vampires - people don't like them, yet they are renowned for being passionate, almost magnetic and charismatic.....

This was another random piece, partly from experience of a harsh break-up. She was pain, but I needed her.

Serenades and silhouettes

Silver moon and diamond stars

On an indigo backboard of velvet sky

Walking down a timeless road

The nameless faces looking

Do they know, I wonder

Where you are tonight

Serenades and silhouttes

All you left behind

The blood stained dagger, that pierced my heart

Riding in a stagecoach, with headless subsidiary

Silent voices talking, whisper your name

Slamming the casket door, on lust and pain - our love

With serenades and silhouettes

Cardboard cutout emotions

A fascia with mascara eyes

I loved you, I hated you, I needed you

Pleasure, pain and romance

I call you with serenades and silhouettes

Invite you to the Hangmans dance.
