in the fields the bronte's walked

Poetry By: dreaming of you

the beauty of yorkshire is captured so well in many of the bronte sisters novels , living as close as i do their family home . i have often walked the same paths and fields they walked .

fields of wheat of moor and meadow

ancient dwellings built of stone

falcon swoops in eerie silence

as i tread these paths alone .

lilac and sage scented hedgerow

dry stonewall requires repair

the bronte sisters oft walked this furrow

with my loved one i now share .

wuthering heights and agnes grey

titles now of world known fame

the creative minds that walked this way

assist me as i seek the same .

their legacy will live forever

heathcliff and catherine earnshaw

eternally to be together

forever love once more endures .

kindly mannered thoughts of virtue

but passion for each characters part

this is the world on offer to you

oh wonderful damsel of my heart .

so many brave steps we will follow

and share moments of erotic bliss

as we grow old and together mellow

romantics will talk of us like this .
