Loud and Clear

Poem By: elegantbleeding
Romance

Also another one that could be consider somewhat lust-driven. Hardly erotic, but still somewhat suggestive. A poem about wanting a person's touch, to see their face... But having those plans shattered. It's a bit overdramatic, but that's the way it goes with poetry. View table of contents...

The morning is chill and bitter
I scarcely remember crossing this parking lot
For all it’s worth, I still remember

The look on your face as we shot our last glance.

The time is nearing where we’ll meet up once again,
I think we’ve got ourselves a plan.

I think we’ve got a plan.

The afternoon we last met
I did savor that temporal, sweet embrace
And everything I can remember
Is pointing me back to when we shot our first glance.
I hoped the time was nearing when we’d meet up again,
But we’ve had a change of plan.
I think we changed plans.

Oh, life so unpredictable!

Oh, dreary day, what can be done?

A drawing of you comes to mind
And it’s dragging me back to that very last glance.
The dial tone is chirping in the back of my head—
I can still hear your voice…
I hear your voice…
Loud and clear.
