If I were a butterfly
And you were a snail
I could fly through the air
And you could leave a trail
If I were a buffalo
And you were a deer
I could charge and fight
And you would never be near
If I were a wolf
And you were a hare
I could howl to the moon
And give you a scare
If I were the moon
And you were the earth
I could orbit you but
What would life be worth?
If I were all these things
And so were you
Could we be a couple
Us two?
Or would it be different
To as we are now
Like the day and night
Like the colours on a cow
We wouldn't be together
But we'd still love forever
Because 'we are one'
We are together
