Staring at the clock, hung on the wall,
Wondering how long, I've looked like a fool,
I think of the pointless times that we had,
Those Wasted Seconds, that left me so sad.
.
I swallowed your lies, along with my pride,
Wiped off those tears, from the times when I cried,
For all along, I was a puppet on a string,
Those Wasted Seconds, when you were the king.
.
But now I feel, I must take a stand,
As the time ticks away like the minute hand,
I hear you arrive, and I beckon you in,
Forget those Wasted Seconds, this is my time to win.
.
Tearing my eyes, from that clock on the wall,
I look into yours, I prepare for their fall,
As calmly, and softly, I begin to say,
No more Wasted Seconds, it must be this way.
