The ball of a lifetime I twirled in my princess dress All just to impress His brown eyes His fringe playing as disguise I hopped in the pumpkin carriage Thinking about hopeful future marriage I kissed his face on the picture in my purse I played over our maybe first kiss I had to rehearse I danced around my room Bobbing up and down like a mario mushroom I thought what would he say I'd been thinking that all day If I asked for a kiss Would he lean in like this? Or would he dodge and miss? The carriage pulled to a stop The bubble wrap In the back made a noise saying 'pop' The driver took my hand and helped me out My crush waited me and gave me a shout He waved and smiled like a king Everybody stared shouting 'sing!' I sang them a song They danced singing along Everybody was staring too But the only person Im looking at is you Your eyes lit , like you haven't a clue I said 'I'm in Love' and pointed to you I giggled and jumped into the crowd The screams ever so loud Later on at the royal dance You came to me and knelt Down The item you placed on my head was a crown You held my hand and asked me to dance We danced all night long All through the song We only focused on each other When we was leaving you met my brother And asked for permission To be my prince For me to be your princess Forever Together Now we're all grey, in our swinging chairs In a castle where you carry me up the stairs As I cannot walk up there You no longer have long hair But we don't care As all we need is each other to be there Til the end My love Our heart You was there from the start I love you, Thomas Lunn. The ball of a lifetime I twirled in my princess dress All just to impress His brown eyes His fringe playing as disguise
