Dancing in your arms, I feel like I’m on air. I look at you and try not to smile like an idiot. This feeling is bliss.
I could take on the world, with you by my side. We sway to the music bodies just inches apart; I feel the heat of your breath on my skin, it sends shivers down my spine. Your dark eyes look deep into mine, searching. For what, I don’t know.
We get lost in the noise, in the crowd. There is no one but us; time has no meaning in our own little world. I lean in closer as we sway to a soft song; you rest your forehead on mine. I can’t think of a better feeling, of a time when I was happier than right now in this moment.
Our eyes meet, then our lips.
I never want this to end; I never want to wake up from this dream.
