Hey, Guess What.
" Hey, guess what?", she says.
Hmm. Let me guess. You have stumbled upon a thought. You are thinking of
a white and red house which just kisses the banks of a lake, which seems to shine
as if stars rest on its many valiant waves. You look around. There is a dock with a boat tied to it,
and as you continue to pace your head from one side to the other,
it appears as if thereis no one else about for miles.
You feel the silence, and you absorb it as you look toward the driveway.
Upon the enterance of the driveway, there is a massive tree, with leaves green, and from
one of it's many branches, hangs a tire swing. You think back to the time you asked your love
if you could one day have one. And he shook his head and said, " If it makes you happy."
Then, as you are caught in the moment, you hear a door creek open from the balcony upon
which you stand. You turn to see the one who promised you the tire swing, who promised
you the balcony, who promised you the house and the lake, who promised you the very moment
you share as he holds you in his arms and tells you he loves you. You know he means it with all of his heart
just byfeeling the many beats from his chest as hepulls you close to him.
And in his arms, you feel his love, and you feel safe and warm, for there is a cold breeze in the air.
You are thinking of our future as it will be.
So full of love and passion. This is what I know you are thinking of. I then turn to the one who asked
and I say, " I have an idea."
She then says " I'll tell you anyway! Ilove you!"
I smile at her and reply, " That's exactly whatI was thinking."
To my one and only, whom I will love forever,
Stephanie.
These are the moments in which our hearts beat as one.
