A flower in a feild of thorns
Beauty with a heart torn

I came to make you feel alive again
Came to a point as if more than friends

Love grew for you as days passed by
Emotions flew and I felt so high

The girl of my dreams
Yeah that's what it seemed

But here I am
A broken man

You broke a heart
We fell apart

And where did I land?
In sinking sand

I fell down with the lowest crowd
I felt bad but acted proud

Cover of played up lies
Enough fake eyes to blot the skies

Now your happy and doing fine
I am hurt from doing time

But now we're together again
Even if only as the best of friends

Maybe that was all I needed
A little faith to be seeded

Now I am laughing and talking
With new friends, happily walking

But I still love you and always will
I hope you never know how I feel

I'm not angry, hurt or mad
As long as we are friends, I am glad
