Sleeve

Poetry By: jamm
Romance

Of what I am currently feeling. I only ever write what I feel, and regretfully, right now that is pain.

Wear my heart on my sleeve, through the heat wave and the blitz of breeze,

Open for everyone to see, weather I'm by the sea or on top of a mountain,

I'm bleeding, bleeding fountains

Look past the smile, if my heart had legs, right now it's on it's knees

I can change the environment, but it will have no impact on my climate

Burning with hurt, hurt by the burning, I'm on fire

Thoughts of you, burn me with a yearning desire

You can put the fire out, but that, you'd never contemplate

All I did was love, but now I'm serving a sentence

25 years life, shit, I'm doing eternity

On a basic, 24hr lock up, mentally

I'm serving time, life, while u just gave me a false pretence

Desperation turned to depression, which concluded as disgust

I gave u my heart, but u wiped me away like I was dust

You replaced my smile with cuts and bruises

It's a deceiving world, the one who wears his heart on his sleeve, looses.
