My heart was a seedling before you

And you watered it every day

Until it became a palm tree

That was the first time I've ever had sunshine

So you stood under that tree

And use my veins as kite strings

The colors flew through the air and stayed there just for you

That was the first time I've ever had joy at my fingertips

You lit off fireworks that exploded in the night

They sparkled like stars around the moon

And when they went out and fell, you lit them again

That was the first time I've ever had light in my heart

Then you built a waterfall

And dove from the top to land in a cold pool

To fill it with the warmth of your body

That was the first time I've ever had a hop in my step

I have been recreated and reborn

And you are the first to do it.
