DIVORCE BLOWS

Fell in love, bended knee, asked for your hand

Walked the isle, committed before God, swapped golden bands

Through sickness and health, till death do us part

These words you repeated - these words you broke...along with my heart

I carry with me the regrets, the pain and the hurt

Of not giving enough, not sharing enough, growing apart

Not seeing the faces, of the children we made

Casts a light that with time...never fades

For true love will endure, whether near or afar

And life does go on, upon the soul...leaves the scar

They say time heals all wounds, its a lie... that I now know

Along with the knowledge that (simply put) DIVORCE...blows
