It's not something to be put into words

Or something to be easily shared

It's a feeling that overwhelms

Numbing every emotion...but care

Perhaps that why it hurts so very much

Whether it began one moment or hour ago

There's a sadness

That pierces ones' very soul

Makes the heart weigh so heavy

Tears stream endlessly

Memories replay time and again

What was, What is, What will be?

Suffering in oh so many ways

I've lost count how long I've hurt

Left with just this paper

To transfer my pain into words

There's a sadness

I feel  with every breath

In every moment

Closest thing to death

This sorrow, pain, and loss

Time will never heal it

And that's what hurts the most

One day perhaps I will look back

And these tears will be a memory

But that day is far far away

As there's a sadness in me....today
