The story of two lovers as the seasons change

On a winter the likes of which had never before seen
a love was born that shone like a light beam
the freezing air grew warmer from the lovers' breaths
life was born in that time of death

and the lovers' love grew with each passing day
until the winter went away
from the troubles of life the lovers seemed undismayed
and so it went until came May

on that fateful month the lovers were led astray
as summer grew closer her love went away
come June and nothing was the same
time had come for their love to end

and he suffered throughout all of summer
with his heart in a pit and in his hands a dagger
with anger, despair and darkness within him
the surrounding light grew ever dim

still to this day he waits for things to change
still to this day he wants to go back
to change all things that made love go black
but she's too happy and he's too sad
to ruin her happiness he'd have to be mad.
