come to me

let me hold you

grasp me tightly

and never let go.

I know your grip will loosen

and you will run from me

but I have this moment

before you desert me.

I've never asked these questions

I've never wanted more

embracing you seems to assuage me

and calm my worried mind.

you break away

you leave me standing

your life continues

while mine is stuck still in your arms.

hi! lacey. seems like life seems to've come to a standstill for u. u r living for a moment of hug alone and u r ready for a desertion too. SAD! is there some way u could carry on. this is too sad after ur other poems. what happened! lol. ;-)

Thanks for publishing this work.

Are you really as young as you listed in your bio?

These thoughts seem to come from someone a bit more wise than the typical teen on Gossip Girl or The Hills.

I'm really glad too because the world needs more people who can feel.
