Take A Step Back!!!!!!!

I have taken a step back

Remebering the old days

When we first met

Talked for hours, getting to know one another

Meeting for the first time

Having sex for the first time

Laughing at each other

Bringing hope to my life

Hotel rooms, restaurants, I seen how romantic you are

The thing is.

I have taken a step back

Seen how sweet and kind you are

I love you for that

But these are fond memories

That are not present anymore

All the things I have done

All the things we wished were to happen

Are gone

I have taken a step back

And wrote this poem

It is just a poem of gratitude

A chosen path I have enquired.
