Lady St. Claire
Long, long ago, in the Chinese dynasty,
a prince had died without requiem and buried poorly.
The last heir to the throne.
Something must be done.
-
Desperate to save his kingdom,
the emperor called all maidens to come,
to wed with him and bore his son
to save his fallen generation.
-
All maidens came and left.
But there’s one that cut out from all the rest.
The lady St. Claire, a name so sweet.
She speaks of grace and loved so deep.
-
The ruler declared his wife
and gave her his life.
They loved so true and passionate
and deep and all so velvet.
-
No ladies far and wide, and sweet and fair
could win his love for his mistress, sweet St. Claire.
