A helpless child is what I recollect
for you have put aside all of the pain
from all of those horrific days.
You’ve shown me a new world
Your love is what I thrive for,
worrying your going to leave
a simple step out the door
not as easy as it seems
our love is strong
Forever and always is what we can be
just you and me
facing the world together
never letting go
even in the worst of weather
your like a flower
waiting for the spring
knowing ill always be running late
hiding your just payed for ring
to begin a new life
Our past is quite simple
there were ups and downs
like a water ripple
in a clear lake or shore
love is what we are
no more nor less
just a simple step into the car
to see our love grow stronger
