I thought I heard you say....

10 o'clock at night wrapped around my arms
And I thought I heard you say,
you love me.

I heard promises of dreams
And promises of eternity
But what does that all add up to?

When I'm up till 3 in the morning because
I cant sleep with memories of you
Plagueing my mind.

Like swarms of mice
Trying to escape a burning building,
Memories of you flood the horizon.

3 words

I hate you

You'r the very being who tore down
My fabricated dreams and left me screaming,
Left me gaping for air in my own sea of loneliness

12 o'clock at night looking up because who knows
What lies in the darkness below.

I've been chasing shadows trying to find
Traces of you within them.

Waiting for a day that you might return
And that your soothing voice might save me.

2 in the morning holding myself,
Trying to choke back the sound of my own tears,
And I thought I heard you say,
You love me,
But that was just a dream.
