I watch from afar,
Whilst you play your guitar,
Do you even know I am here?
You play to the waves,
People turn in their graves,
You do not know I am here.
The song you play is filled with grief,
A sadness I cannot reach,
About a girl you lost,
I am here, see me!
I shout and cry,
So hard I try,
To catch your attention.
But you will never hear,
This sorrow you'll have to endear,
Is short lived my friend,
You will forget, once I disappear.
