Romance

Love is a confusing thing...first, it tears you apart, then it completes you later on...

Down the Road of Memory Lane

My beloved, my darling

My sweetest love of my life

I have travelled down

To Memory Lane

In this street, I found many things

Like jokes and grievances and woe

But at the end of this fine street

I had found the angel that was your soul

And she showed me a boy named Me

Young and fine and cute

He had just met his greatest friend

A little lass named You

Soon we met, he was now a teen

Built strong and handsome as hell

But even so, he fell like a stick

For seeing You, rang his heart louder than a bell

He had fallen for a woman

Well beyond his grasp

And thus, he wept for a love that would never be

For he was now assuredly Friendzoned, you see

He tried to dissuade his love

With drinks and lovely lady parts

But no matter how hard up was he

It had been You in his mind

Worst yet, You fell in love for another

A rival, at least to Me

And the poor boy lost his heart

For the love that he knew would never be

So the boy had fled away from the girl

To escape his emotional hell

To forget the memory of how his heart

Rang louder than the bell

I had met him one last time

In a reflection of the glass

The boy had grown into a fine man

And abandoned the fine lass

But You had returned, into his life

Now feeling the love he had for her

And yet, it could never be

Never would they be together

Oh, my dear, how he lies to himself

The lady was always in his mind

He cannot resist, so he lets it out

All the love that he cannot hide

And now I see Me, as me

Now happy as he can be

For his dream of You and Me

Became the reality of "Together Forever"
