Inevitable
Remembering …

the first time I saw your face

Bewildered and lost in such a place

But that right moment has yet to come

Just dreaming of what’s been left undone

Eternity, Happiness, I’ve wanted it all

Afraid of the out come if I should fall

In a vortex that leaves me left for dead

Destroying the sanity left in my head

How to fear what has never been tried?

Drowning in all the tears I’ve cried

Wishing for a love that can never be

Destroying every single part of me

I hate that I tried to catch thin air

I still believe it seems unfair

That darkness can destroy the light

But Dammit! Not without a fight

I shall pursue and persist until the day I die

Or maybe decide it’s better to say goodbye

Only when love starts wearing me down

As likely as the sky falling on to the ground.
